While addressing the congregation at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Sec. 30-A. Shri Mohinder Singh, Sanyojak of Chandigarh Branch has told that the 46th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam of Maharashtra opened in MIDC Grounds in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, today. The 3-day Samagam which is being held under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Head of the Sant Niranakri Mission, is being attended by lakhs of devotees of the Mission and other God-loving people from all parts of the State as also from other parts of the country and abroad.
Inaugurating the Samagam with a brief Message to Mankind, His Holiness said that human unity or the Oneness of Mankind is the need of the hour and this is the theme that the Samagam seeks to emphasize. He said that today the man is distanced from man. The tendencies of hatred and jealousy leading to violence are prevailing in the name of religion and many other factors. This is bringing bad name to religion as well as prophets who never preached violence or bloodshed of the innocent. Baba Ji said that man is focused on material achievements. He has become so selfish that he is willing to kill his own kith and kin for wealth and property. The kinds of crime he is committing today is known to the world. In order to curb these tendencies, man must link his mind with the Almighty God. In fact, this is the principal objective of human birth which must be achieved by every human being. Once we realize the Oneness of the Supreme Father – God, we understand the fundamental unity of the mankind as a single global family.
His Holiness said that human being is considered superior to all other species. He must, however, prove this by his behaviour based on human virtues of love, compassion and brotherhood and beautify the atmosphere. These human virtues can, however, be attained only by linking with their Supreme Source i.e., God.
Earlier, in the morning, the beginning of the Samagam was marked by a colourful procession which started from Ganesh Mandir, Sector 17, Airoli and concluded at the venue of the Samagam.
